It's something my mentor did for me around 4 years ago... changed my life and helped my perspective on things. I think if I were to ask him what he wanted in return he would say," Just do the same for someone else."

Funny that you mentioned helping people. We had our awards assembly today at the school and I got a bit misty as I told the students what they taught "ME" this school year... They taught me that i am hear on earth to help people. I was put in many situations over the course of the school year where I was compelled to help far more that I was paid. At first it felt foreign to me, but by the 3rd quarter I got the hang of it and it really felt good.

Those kids helped me realize my mission in life which is something I had been chewing on since my teens.

I did this drawing on the bus today in East Oakland.  The woman was so peaceful as she read her book. Her hair reminded me of an apple eating, prudent librarian reading on an orange/purpleish sky afternoon. Peaceful, simple, collected. She probably has lots of grand babies and takes care of her disabled brother. She wore a beautiful earth toned scarf with an olive green skirt and teachers assistant ran nurse shoes.

I bet she has apple juice in her icebox and graham crackers in the cubbard with a wind chime in the window over the kitchen sink.

Hung out at the coffee shop today in Berkeley painting people. Can't wait until I get as good with painting as I am at drawing. One thing is for sure and thats "Ain't gonna get there unless I get out and do it... "REGULARLY"

THere is no quick fix like the absurd weight loss pills or silly exercise machines claiming miracle result with little to no effort. Plain old fashion practice will do the job every time.
