Dawood Marion Drawings of Random People Vol. 1 by Dawood Marion 

So after i did the initial sketch of Ruth Smith I tried varnishing it. The only thing is I was moving really fast and accidentally got some white gouache in my varnish mix, this created white streaks across my painting. I was a little ticked off at first (just a tad). I slept on it. This morning I woke up pumped to fix the painting (for some strange reason because I never fix paintings or drawings). The photo I posted in my previous post on Facebook and this blog was the only reference I had to work from... oh and memory (smilely face). Took about 20 mins but I repainted aspects of the sketch and actually I think it looks awesome!!! 

Painting this morning with one of my best friends Ruth Smith. I was instructing her through a painting she has been working on also had a chance to paint a quick portrait of her.

I love teaching high school because they inspire me to go beyond my limits just as I inspire them.
